Montana provides world class outdoor recreation throughout the year. Late Spring is a great time to visit the State with little competition from other travelers. Wildlife viewing can be very enjoyable this time of year with the newborns being very visible. The fishing can also be excellent on many of the areas rivers. Summer is the busiest time, and enjoys the vast majority of tourism and activities. Fall can be simply beautiful (and lets not forget that this may be the best time to fish). The fall colors, the blue sky, and the crystal clear waters really shine this time of year, and are usually highlighted with a white cap of snow on the highest peaks. Fall quickly becomes winter and the snow skiing and snowmobiling opportunities in this part of the State are extraordinary.
